Design & Manufacture

Using the latest CAD/CAM techniques, we create innovative designs and manufacture all finished products within our state-of-the-art 18,000 sq. ft. factory, where quality control is implemented across all areas of production and administration.

The result is a comprehensive range of excellent quality products, which comply fully with the Health and Safety Machinery Directive, to ensure that all A1S electronically operated roller shutters carry the CE Mark.

Installation & Supply

Our installation service adheres to the same high quality standards. Qualified A1S installation crews deliver a nation-wide service in accordance with the regulations and guidance of the Door and Shutter Manufacturers Association - of which A1S is an accredited member.

A1S is committed to providing maximum choice to our customers. That's why the full A1S range is also available on a supply-only basis. This service comes with a full package of support - including product literature and point-of-sale material - to ensure the requirements of each application are fully understood and met in the most appropriate and cost effective way.

A1S has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 1989, when founder and managing director, Carl Everest set up A1S to introduce new levels of quality and service to the roller shutter market.

Today, the A1S team continues to maintain unsurpassed standards of quality across our entire range of aluminium and steel shutters. To ensure excellent customer service, we provide a comprehensive range of support services - from training seminars to assisted fits - plus a full consultation service to architects.

Due to strong growth, A1S has moved to new premises at Unit 3 Raikes Lane Industrial Estate in Bolton . The new factory offers 18,000 sq. ft. of space, plus detached offices and a yard offering a further 14,000 sq. ft. of storage outside.

The move has enabled A1S to extend manufacturing capabilities and to capitalise on our innovative approach to product research and development. Today, we are still firmly dedicated to working together for mutual growth and benefit. It is a commitment which continues to reap great rewards.
